Latin Name: Trigonostigma heteromorpha - Previously known as Rasbora heteromorpha

Common Name:Harlequin Rasbora

Origin: Southeast Asia

Size: 1 1/3 inch (4 cm)

Suggested Minimum Tank Size:
5 gallon or more

Preferred Temperature:
68-88°F (20-31°C)

Water Chemistry: Prefers soft acidic water but will usually adapt to any reasonable home aquarium conditions

Compatibility: Very peaceful

Feeding: Accepts most common aquarium foods, not a picky eater
Special Considerations:
The Rasbora heteromorpha is a schooling fish so it likes company. A lone Rasbora heteromorpha would be a sad and scared fish.
They make a great display in a small school.

Although Harlequins adapt well to local tap water, they have more specific needs if you wish to spawn them.

Breeding conditions include warm water 80 ° F or more, very soft water with an acidic pH.

The fry are super tiny and require green water for a few days before moving on to microworms or baby brine shrimp.
